SMS Notification Service: Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: June 25, 2026
1. About this service
These Terms govern the SMS (text message) notification service operated by J.R. & Co. ("JRCO USA," "we," "us," or "our"), a commercial roofing and building enclosure contractor with operations across the United States. The service delivers operational text messages to JRCO USA employees, project managers, foremen, and subcontractors who have an existing business relationship with the company.
By opting in and providing your mobile number, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not opt in.
2. Who this service is for
This is an internal operational tool. It is available only to individuals with an active business relationship with JRCO USA — employees, contractors, and subcontractors engaged on JRCO USA projects. It is not a public-facing service and is not marketing or promotional in nature. We do not send advertising, solicitations, or third-party content through this service.
3. Program description and what messages you'll receive
This is a recurring operational SMS program. Messages are operational only and may include:
- Job and crew assignments, dispatch details, and site locations
- Schedule changes, start-time updates, and same-day adjustments
- Compliance reminders, including certificate of insurance (COI) and certification renewals
- Safety notifications, including stand-downs, incident alerts, and site-specific warnings
- Operational reminders, such as daily field log or timekeeping prompts
4. Consent and opt-in
You opt in during hire or subcontractor onboarding by actively checking an opt-in box — which is unchecked by default — and providing your mobile number. Consent is not a condition of employment or engagement with JRCO USA; you may decline and receive operational communications through other channels. We do not purchase, rent, or obtain phone numbers from third parties. Every recipient provides their own number directly.
5. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on operational activity, your role, and active project assignments. There is no fixed number of messages per period.
6. Cost
JRCO USA does not charge you for these messages. However, message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. You are responsible for any such charges. Contact your carrier with questions about your plan.
7. Opting out
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) to any message. We will send a one-time confirmation, after which you will receive no further messages. To resume, opt in again through your onboarding representative. Note that opting out of SMS does not remove you from other required operational or safety communications delivered through other channels.
8. Getting help
Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message for assistance, or contact us at info@jrcousa.com or 833-572-6872. For help with your mobile plan or charges, contact your wireless carrier.
9. Supported carriers and delivery
Message delivery depends on your wireless carrier's network and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. JRCO USA is not responsible for delivery failures, network outages, or device issues outside our control.
10. Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide an accurate mobile number that you are authorized to use
- Promptly notify JRCO USA if your number changes or you lose access to the device
- Keep the content of operational messages confidential where it concerns job sites, schedules, personnel, or client information
- Use information received only for legitimate JRCO USA work purposes
JRCO USA may suspend or remove your access to the service if the number is no longer valid, your business relationship with the company ends, or these Terms are violated.
11. Privacy
Your mobile number and SMS consent data are used solely to operate this notification service. Mobile information and SMS consent data will not be shared with or sold to third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be shared with service providers who help us deliver messages (such as our messaging platform vendor) strictly to operate the service. For full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information, see our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or other operational channels. Continued participation after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination of the service
JRCO USA may modify, suspend, or discontinue the SMS notification service in whole or in part at any time, with or without notice. Critical operational and safety information will continue to be delivered through alternative channels.
